Group I: 15 credits (5 courses)

3 credits in Literature (in either the English or Modern Languages department)

6 credits from at least 2 of the following departments: Art, Communication Arts, Dance, Modern Languages, Music, Philosophy

Group II: 15 credits (5 courses)

HIST 101

HIST 102

9 credits from at least 3 of the following departments: Anthropology, Economics, History, Human Geography (excluding Physical Geography), Political Science, Psychology, Sociology

Group III: 12 credits (4 courses)

At least 6 credits from courses with laboratories from at least two of the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, Geology-Physical Geography, Physics

1 course (at least 3 credits, need not include a lab) from the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics

1 math course* (3 credits)

Group IV: 3 credits (1 course)

PHEC 106

*Students fulfilling graduation requirements from a catalogue dated prior to 1996-98 may select a math or science (need not include a lab) or computer science course to fulfill this requirement.
